| In the winter of 2008 I was asked to brighten up this mudroom with fields of lavender and olive groves. The ceiling in here was very high so I have an unusually high horizon line. I tried to make it appear as though we were on the top of a hill looking out over the fields. The room was very difficult to paint, as it was very narrow, and the stairwell to the second floor required a special scaffold.Try and imagine a long winding hallway.
