Earth

Here's a close up of Earth and one of the legs of the lunar lander, which was built by the guys at SeaRay Builders.
Viking

This is the Voyager Space Probe on it's way past the Moon, to Mars and beyond. The airbrush adds a nice finishing touch to the stars.

Mars

Mars the red planet.

ISS2

Jim painted this portion of the International Space Station with all it's solar collectors.

ISS

Jim also painted this part of the International Space Center. I painted the dome and another fellow added the black.

InteriorISS

I spent 2 days inside the dome that was the International Space Station Painting what it would look like if you were looking down through it. The view reminded me of senes from the Hunt for Red October, or other submarine movies.

Grocery

Bob Matarangelo painted two of these grocery store scenes, and Kathy Polenberg did all the products. What the children were to learn here was what you could and could not take into space.

Saturn5

Jim built this Saturn 5 rocket and I painted it, and the Cape Canaveral scene behind it.

Sign

Kathy Polenberg started painting this sign, but when it came time to raise it into position, I finished it on the ladders.

Astronaut

All of the area left of center is new floor for the Becker Wing. The inflatable is a planetarium.

Cloud

Jim's gaseous nebula, about 25' across and 20' high. His Kirby vacum that he found in a dumpster worked just fine for cleaning up as the show was soon to open.

BobMataranglo

Bob's climbing wall, with the Hubble telescope, and an astronaut.

MoonMan

I did this lunar landscape is at the bottom of the slide. There was about 75' of it and it had creaters in it, and a very high tech foam floor, because you were meant to fall, but not get hurt. It was very squishy and shock absorbant. About 10,000 stars too.

MoonLandscape

More of that scene with Jim's lunar rock that he sculpted out of wood, chicken wire, and plaster.
